Coaching, mentoring, and artistic positioning.

As part of The Crescendo, prize winners with distinction realize a concert project together with established musicians. Following the mentor-mentee principle, the young talents develop a chamber music program and bring it to performance. Direct collaboration on equal footing allows for hands-on learning – intensive, demanding, inspiring.

The Crescendo is intended as a complementary offering that takes place in close coordination with the participant's existing educational situation and is meant to enrich it.

ZYC does not replace what teachers, music schools, or universities already do excellently. Rather, with The Cadenza and The Crescendo, we identify individual gaps and create opportunities that are hard to find within the traditional educational path.

We offer:

  • Tailor-made mentoring
  • Special artistic encounters
  • Chamber music projects
  • Access to professional networks
  • Carefully selected stage experiences

Important: We do not fund regular lessons or the purchase of instruments.

Only prize winners who received an award with distinction from Zurich Youth Classical – The Contest can be invited.

Young musicians develop a chamber music program together with established artists and bring it to performance – following the mentor-mentee principle.

  • Close collaboration with highly renowned professional musicians
  • Rehearsing, developing, and performing a concert program together
  • Learning through practice: communication, stage presence, artistic collaboration
  • Integration into existing ZYC formats and partner concerts

The Crescendo offers hands-on learning, encounters as equals, and first steps into the professional concert world.
