Coaching, mentoring, and artistic positioning.

The Cadenza is aimed at prize winners with distinction who are in a phase of development or reorientation. Support is provided through individually tailored guidance from experienced mentors and can include the following elements:

  • Study counseling, career and pathway planning
  • Personal coaching from experienced artists and mentors
  • Individual lessons with renowned artistic personalities
  • Support in setting artistic goals and developing practice strategies
  • Strengthening motivation and self-directed learning
  • A complement to existing lessons – not a substitute for the teacher
  • Focus: orientation, inspiration, personal development

ZYC does not replace what teachers, music schools, or universities already do excellently. Rather, with The Cadenza and The Crescendo, we identify individual gaps and create opportunities that are hard to find within the traditional educational path.

We offer:

  • Tailor-made mentoring
  • Special artistic encounters
  • Chamber music projects
  • Access to professional networks
  • Carefully selected stage experiences

Important: We do not fund regular lessons or the purchase of instruments.

Only prize winners who received an award with distinction from Zurich Youth Classical – The Contest can be invited.

Invitations are extended personally by Zurich Youth Classical and are based on artistic achievement, potential, and personality.

No. The Cadenza is individually tailored. Content and guidance are coordinated in dialogue with participants, their teachers, and – where appropriate – their parents.

  • Study and career counseling
  • Personal coaching by experienced mentors and artists
  • One-on-one lessons with renowned musical figures (in addition to regular lessons)
  • Support with goal-setting, practice strategies, motivation, and self-directed learning

The Cadenza is designed to foster orientation, inspiration, and personal development, and to strengthen artistic independence.
