Today in our series “ZYC Explains” part 8: The Finale.
The Finale is the last stage of The Contest. Here, the musicians who were invited to the Finale after qualification take the stage. On April 17 and 18, 2026, live at Brunnenhof Zürich, you present your program to the jury and audience. The focus is on musicality, expression, stage presence, technical execution, and your personal artistic voice – always in the context of your stage of development.
The Finale is not a comparison in the classical sense. It is a moment in which different artistic paths, programs, and personalities become visible. Alongside the ranks, outstanding performances can be honored with awards. In addition, the Finale opens access to further support formats such as Cadenza and Crescendo for selected participants.
We look forward to a Finale full of music, diversity, and personal voices on stage.
