Close-Up – our new video series. Today we're taking a look at what ZYC — The Contest is really about at its core.
Jury member Gwendolyn Masin quotes the Hungarian composer Béla Bartók: “Competitions are for horses.” That's exactly our starting point: at ZYC there are no rankings and no placements. What counts is individual development – not comparison with others.
Liv and Joren, who took part this year, confirm this in the video: a relaxed, supportive atmosphere where you can simply give your best.
